Dr. Horrigan has written several sports medicine columns for magazines. Dr. Horrigan wrote the IRONMAN Magazine Sports Medicine Column from May 1989 until 1999.  Dr. Horrigan resumed the Sports Medicine Column in the March 2004 issue.  Dr. Horrigan also co-wrote the Sports Medicine Column for INSIDE KUNG-FU.   The break from the columns was occupied by writing two books (see book section).  Additionally, much time was spent serving at the Head Speed-Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Los Angeles Kings and Long Beach Ice Dogs.

The IRONMAN Sports Medicine Column addressed common weight training injuries and their prevention.   The articles are reproduced on this website for you to download.  The IRONMAN articles are reprinted with permission from the Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of IRONMAN, John Balik.  Dr. Horrigan has updated the articles.  At the end of each article, the original publication date and editing date are listed.  New photographs are used for computer and downloading ease.  There are approximately one hundred columns.  Approximately two dozen articles will be available upon the opening of this website.  Two to three more columns will be added per month.  A search program will assist you to find articles about specific exercises, joints, or body parts.  You can search by exercise (squats for example, or knee or shoulder) and a list of all articles matching the key word will be listed.  Many of these articles will also be carried on the new Cory Everson website.  The popularity of the IRONMAN Magazine produced many letters and comments from all over the world.
